Will probably be back sometime in the new year, as me and a mate are trying to put an Asterisk PABX + anything else on a Linksys WRT54G router. At the moment we are sourcing an SD-card reader + PCB board that can be used to mount an SD-card as a hard drive so we can run some more programs.

So what are you doing for the analog voice interface to use with Asterisk? or it it going to be network only?

This can be done (and there is a site with details on how to do it) but it's hardly a workable system and the CPU is very slow anyway.

Your best bet is to have Asterisk on it's own dedicated box where you can have a decent system running, even building up a small box these days with a 1GB CF or SD card could be done easily as it's all Asterisk needs on top of a basic CentOS or similair install. I would suggest opting for something that's at least a PIII 500 for Asterisk, you can run it on less but are likely to run into some problems particularly if you want to use g729 as your codec as it is quite CPU intensive.
