BugMal,
but did you point to them that you cannot simply add all 3 dimensions together?
The real size of those packages is approximately 41cm x 43cm x 132cm consolidated in a single box (lazy way, just stacked one on another).
And twice as thinner if packed properly.
Any discount codes out there?
If anyone manages to ship a 40kg sub at just under 1 cubic metre let me know :)
(I got an email about their new bulky freight service)
So what does this hinge upon? Is it that a battery within the original sealed packaging is deemed safer than a separate battery because the former cannot have been tampered with or been previously used?
Shapenz:
And their reply -
"On behalf of New Zealand Post I apologise for the situation that has occurred. I have looked into this for you, I can see this parcel has been deemed prohibited because the tablet is not in its retail packaging.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused but this is a prohibited item and cannot be sent through YouShop. You will need to head onto your account and decide whether you are wanting to have this parcel returned to the merchant or delivered to an alternate address within the country."
I thought this might be useful for anyone thinking of eBay shopping via Youshop.

I just got a battery cordless drill deemed prohibited. Brand new in retail box. Their prohibited items web page has changed and it looks like sending anything with a battery is now prohibited.
Does anyone know of another forward shipper I can send my parcel to, to get sent to NZ?

I've used shipito several times (together with DHL). So you only need to contact DHL to make sure they'll send it
Black Friday is soon and boy TVs are cheap in USA! Doesn anyone know how much YouShop pays to freight this?

NTSC is not the problem, as noone will be putting analog video signals into them. It is a problem that they do not take any 50Hz modes over the HDMI inputs, and have a ATSC and possibly DVB-C tuner, no DVB-T or S in them, and if they did would block the 50Hz mode.
You might get lucky with the cheap-ass house brands, as they are popular among retro console collectors since they are usually able to deal with 50Hz modes since the chinese OEMs dont bother locking them out, but the sonys and samsungs will blank out and show unsupported mode - even when you give them 50Hz over the VGA inputs.
My mate tried to ship a new Xiaomi phone using youshop china - they said it was prohibited due to lithium ion batteries. Apparently even the US store won't ship phones.
This kinda makes youshop pointless for a lot of us trying to get exclusive tech into NZ or just coz it's cheaper overseas...
Will have to try shipitto.
joker97: But iPhones can be shipped right
Unfortunately the plutonium with which the unicorn's tears they run on have been doped cause iPhones to fall foul of international arms-control treaties. No, wait, that was the Note 7. Carry on.
iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!
These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.
