I surely hope they don't end up being able to identify me from my voice, fingerprint, iris scan, face scan etc any time soon.

Stupid visual puns might be amusing on forums - but not as serious news website headlines.

Where does the money from a toll go?
Most of money goes towards debt repayment, with $0.70c going towards operating costs to run the tolling business, and a component to Inland Revenue as GST.
Money is something we all have to deal with every day, so why do so many people mix up (or, in this case, combine) dollars and cents?

The reality is an article with a fairly tale story that would be better used in a Jack Reacher novel. No theory at all, just some novelists way of selling a novel. Some of the bits in the story don't have a shred of credibility, making it a very second rate novel at the very best.

Had to look, just because of my interest in that flight. Agree totally with the wild implausibility of the article. At least the NZH used the word "Incredible"... for once, their headline is literally correct.
What struck me was "...draws on years of interviews with aviation experts...". It appears that these interviews must have been conducted with the assistance of liberal supplies of alcohol (Koru Club?), and, even then, what the "expert" said was largely ignored. The only interesting thing about this book would be to see who was foolish enough to allow their name to be used as a reference.

Instead of "incredible new theory", "totally unbelievable new theory" is a better description.
Expert - my favourite definition of expert is; pronunciation - ex spurt, Ex - as in has been, spurt - a drip of water under pressure.

Here is a better theory, and probably more believable: The secretly gay pilot and co-pilot were locked in a passionate tryst so intense that they knocked out ACARS and the transponder while thrashing around, and even set the plane spiralling out of control as it climbed and descended in sync with their pulsating bodies. This continued for many hours and so wrapped up in the throes of passion were the pilots, that they never noticed when the plane went into the ocean. Since gay sex is frowned upon in Malaysia, the authorities went to elaborate lengths to conceal the truth ("Our pilots don't do that sort of thing!"
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
That's a theory I can get behind.
