Hello

I have a client who is after a device that she can make notes on when she is away from the office, and plug it back into her PC when she comes back to the office and sync it into her documents.

Something like a palmpilot without all the phone, diary (and cost) etc functions.

Does anybody know of such a device?

There are a few old Palm OS devices still in the market, and some Windows Mobile Classic (the name for the old Pocket PC). Look for HP devices.

I would recommend Windows Mobile, as Palm OS is now pretty much dead...

there is no real point in having one without the rest, as the reply above, you might as well get a PDA phone, I can't make do without a smart phone, there are so many things you can do with them, and why carry two to three different devices?

A phone device may well be the cheaper option for a modern device if buying secondhand. Just dont use those extra functions.

I don't use analogue tv at all, but I had to pay for an analogue tuner in the tv I have, I just don't use it.

This is Palm OS or Windows Mobile (Classic [no phone] or Professional [phone]).

Either way she will get sick and tired of writing on the small screen after a while. Better get a small tablet PC.

I would agree, at least then she can use it to take notes as well as use it as a normal laptop. They are expensive though, you pay for the priviledge.
