So this is one of my favourite franchises. I have very much enjoyed the last 3. This new one, I am unsure of. I don't know how much value I see PERSONALLY in the ability to attach things to each other etc. It's not really my type of thing to cause havoc this way.

The scope looks amazing though, the map looks huge. I hope getting around won't be too tedious. There were times I felt a little frustrated in 3.

I am looking forward to the change of pace compared to RDR2 which is SLLOOOOWWWWWW going.

One thing I am unsure of, is the tornado which is ever present on the screen and looks like it can do massive damage, how it will affect the map. Ie will damage regenerate after a set time? without this, if it has free roam, you could sit and wait (a long time) and everything on the map would be dead/wrecked :)

Anyone else pre-ordered it?

I did enjoy JC multiplayer mod for a bit but found the campaign a bit lacking. The sandbox nature of the game also wasn't too interesting for me (similar to Far Cry series for that matter) so I never picked the rest of the games up.

Also Square games are notorious for going on sale very quickly so will probably pick it up on Steam in 6 months or so at half price or less.

I suppose it would potentially be interesting to see how many bases I can destroy using balloon type things. I do like side missions and collectibles so long as they are FUN to collect.

I prefer to try and take bases by stealth somewhat. Whereever possible I did this in FC5. Not very often I went in guns blazing.

The enemies in JC4 may make or break this game for me. They look varied but also crazy tough.

JC3 is one of the few games I finished in recent times

I might grab it once it goes on sale, I can't stomach paying $100 for a PC game.

Agreed there needs to be a fun factor. Ghost recon wildlands was okay with co-op. I suppose RDR2 fits into this trope as well. There was a old game set on mars which has a similar output destruction objective (edit: found it, red faction guerilla)

Tethering in JC 3 was amazing. Tethering a cow to a gas bottle and watching it rocket off into the sky was always good for a laugh. Looking forward to this but think I will wait until it's on sale as I need to work my way through the backlog of games I've currently got - mainly RDR2 and getting 100% on Spider man (just need to get all the costumes - stupid challenge tokens).

I don't think I ever tethered stuff in JC3. I don't even recall the mechanics of it being available.

Google JC3 tethering challenges and you'll see all sorts of hilarity. Damn I might have to fire this back up hahaha.

JC2 was the best, JC3 for me felt like I was re playing the same game, gave up at 70% of the story done and didn't play since. JC2 MP was a lot of fun. From the cinematic trailer I get the vibe it will be the same game again with more vehicles, larger map and another slightly different plot.
I hope it brings a refresh to the franchise as I see it as another version of Battlefield/COD cash grabs.

Tethering is fun, get some mods for huge strength and multiple tethers. I got bored and ended up  doing a whole range of things with barges and vehicles. I found in the end it was way more efficient to tether and throw people than what it was to shoot lol!

I don't think I will rush out and buy the game but will make call after i've seen others play it and had a go.

It will be interesting to see how many people I can "stealth" tether. I presume the advanced troops will be able to prevent this.

Cause ya totally wouldn't feel a huge metal 3 pronged thing latch onto your thigh tongue-out
I recall tethering to some citizens they would just stand there and put their hands over their head instead of run. Can you show how it works?
