can someone kindly provide settings for UFB connection on a SRP521W router please? thanks

There are no generic settings. Ask your ISP what their connection details are.

You may or may not need to use VLAN10 on the WAN, it will also depend on whether your ISP has specified a tagged or untagged UNI port. I know by default Orcon require VLAN10.

Create a sub interface tagged with VLAN10 and acquire IP through DHCP.
With the SRP you also need to set a dummy IP on the primary interface that the sub is off as you couldn't just turn off DHCP on it.
If you dont it will send DHCP requests all day every day...

That may have changed but it was like that a month or so ago.

I'm going off my memory here, but I'm pretty sure you can turn off DHCP but it's not at all obvious.

I'm going off my memory here, but I'm pretty sure you can turn off DHCP but it's not at all obvious.

On the primary interface?
If you can that would be good, cisco said it wasnt an option and pretty much said tough luck, if it is i will take delight in letting them know.

If you can think of where let me know please.

Hmm, i forgot now, but definitely there was a way to turn off DHCP on vlan 0 as when I was testing last year, a dhcp request from vlan 0 got a reply back on vlan10 which was weird.
Unless the SRP is now sending dhcp requests out both vlan0 and vlan10 and i never bothered to check.

To be specific I am talking about using eth port 4 as the WAN port and having a sub interface on it.
If it can be disabled then i will be very happy.

thanks ptinson, have managed to connect to internet.

Just checking to see if by any chance that I can use Orcon's sip information to connect my phone up on srp521w router? If so, anyone can provide the setup steps. many thanks.

I set one up as follows:

Go to Voice> Line 1> enable line 1

Proxy and Registration (section)
Display name is your VoIP number minus the zero in the area code, ie use 95555555 for (09) 555 5555

Audio Configuration
Primary Codec : G711u
Secondary : G711a

To get your Orcon SIP password, if you were supplied a Genius modem, as ptintson said you can plug that in and follow the instructions outlined in http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=82&topicid=112419

Or you were supplied the SRP instead of a Genius?

So all your Proxy and Registration settings are as the above screenshot?
Sorry, I didn't highlight all the necessary fields i.e. Register = yes
And UserID is the same as your display name (VoIP number minus the leading zero in the area code)

Also did you check the default voice route?
