Lets Hope these are Full HD not "Sky HD" (1440)

With Kayo, for this key sports, who does the commentary?

For me, commentary is huge.

The pre-match commentary is Australian (Fox Sports?) and the game commentary is whoever is the primary broadcaster of the game.  For example a game played in NZ with have Sky Sports etc.

He said Is this going to be a Neulion product (god I hope so) or has sky gone in-house like SkyGo (god I hope not).

Sorry - once again I can’t make head nor tail of what you are saying here. Read it several times - but no.

Many bag SkyGo as when you send it to a large screen TV its rubbish. SkyGo works very well, and the res it very good, but its SkyGO, its meant for phones and tablets, on the go, etc, so yes it wont look great blown up, that's not the purpose of it

Sky has said for the new release that you can send the SSN to a TV, so it wont work like SkyGo as that poster commented on

Now I get what you were trying to say. You’re right - SkyGo is brilliant for lying in bed in the middle of the night watching WC cricket from England on my iPad, and other N Hemisphere sport.

Not what I was saying at all. I only use SkyGo on a browser on my laptop. I have an issue with sky using flash. Neulion do not.

I think that Sky's offerings need to be 720P+ or not at all.

There is no need to push specific resolutions to alternative devices just go with adapative streaming which sorts itself out.

The only limits on resolution and bitrate should be if they want to prevent or discourage large screen TV viewing

I was under the impression that the new Sky Sport channels were going to be called Sky Rugby, Sky Cricket, Sky Golf etc - but I see they are called Sky Sport 1 - 9. Perhaps I misunderstood - once again.

I can see a lot of new filler content. Canada T20, yes it does have some Kiwi's and internationals but a lot of it, and a bit of other highlights that seem more than normal

6.5 hours of best of PGA this morning but its a round 4 replay of a 2018 event. Seems like include the Rugby Channel, add extra filler and thats it, seems mainly a marketing ploy.  But the key benefit is that the upgraded Fanpass will have everything

So the 24/7 football channel is just the bein channel, which now means you can log into the bein app with any sky account and access all the content they have for NZ, so I guess everyone who had bein will be getting a ~$16 discount this month. Also means that any additional football content sky have (fa cup, champions league, series a) will not be on the 24/7 football channel? Bizarre.

Bit weird how they announced channels will be 24/7 for each sport but then they have kept the standard numbering and channel names (sky sport 1-9)

Yes we have all sport on their dedicated channel. All the worlds golf, including LPGA will

be on channel 6.

What a lot of rubbish!! The LPGA woman's British open screens live tonight at 10pm.

Now that would be on channel 6, right? Err no on channel 3.

Most of what is on 6 is repeats of old stuff. So what a load of boloney. Yes you will now have

your dedicated channel, when we make up our mind where to put it, or not!

Dont stress, its only marketing. As I see it the channel lineup hasn't really changed. Its the same thing, just in different places.

Where it matters is when you talk Fanpass

Well I got another email today saying that to avoid "confusion" your favorite sports will

be on a dedicated channel, the one listed for golf is 6.

That is not market hype it is an untrue statement.

I am not stupid and I as well as anybody else see's that it is just the same in a different

wrapper.

I would say there are few events that were already programmed/promoted on the existing channels, so rather than having everyone ring up and complain that they can't find the sport they want, they have just kept them there.

Future programming will put them on the channel the should be on
