networkn: Thanks for all the advice. It's well beyond what I can live with in terms of hassle and risk to "fix" it myself. I'll get a quote for a new door or find a way to live with it.
michaelmurfy: I can make an improv "dent cover" magnet which will consist of Taylor Swift (everyone likes Taylor right?). Hopefully that'll suffice.

You mentioned elsewhere you've got a young child - what self-respecting parents' fridge isn't covered with their child's/children's paraphernalia such as artwork, magnetic letters, various magnetic toys, school notices etc?! Our fridge is certainly like this.
Or do your OCD tendencies also bar this kind of use of the fridge as an ideal display space?

Lord, now my parental love is being questioned!
I'd be surprised if the CORNERS of your fridge were covered.
Lastly, the OCD thing was a bit of a joke, clearly missed by some.
Umm, my referencing of OCD was also tongue-in-cheek!
But, that said, I've certainly found having two brats who are terribly messy despite our best attempts to have them tidy after themselves, has done wonders for my own OCD tendencies... eg I no longer ensure the hall light switch at one end is pointing the right direction (by walking to the other end of the hall just to change the direction of the other switch). And nowadays I find having things stuck to surfaces like fridges can actually protect them from further damage!

networkn:Really? I took you seriously and was going to make a suggestion. But if you're not actually OCD then get over it, how can you fuss over such a minor thing.

Heh, just because I'm not OCD doesn't mean seeing a dent in your fridge in a place that catches the light each time you walk past, isn't annoying as hell.

coffeebaron: Have you added this to the small things that annoy you thread?
Personally I'd give the dry ice thing ago, simply because that sounds like a fun thing to do:) Then you can blow up a few empty Coke bottles with the excess dry ice and some water :)
No I didn't try this because I was warned by the repair agent and fridge people NOT to do it as there is material right behind the "stainless steel" which may shrink when heat is applied, or seperate, and this would then cause issues with condensation over that small patch, something that would annoy me even more.

I feel ya - would PMO too.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
