Amazon ORIGINAL Content is available anywhere (assuming a prime membership), content they resell for other studios aren't accessible.
Netflix Original Content is available in any region (Netflix membership required obviously.
There is the fly in the ointment. Amazon Prime is not legally available in NZ, so watching that content is still a license infringement.
The good news is Amazon Video will soon be available in 200 countries though, which would compete with Netflix. Hopefully sometime next year. That would mean a legal way to watch Amazon content right here in NZ. :)
