So i emailed the CHCH store, they basically said they had them at this price, damaged boxes???, but wouldnt sell me one..

Said it was instore price only...lol. oh well

That's strange. The CSR I spoke to at the store said nothing about damaged boxes, only that they had no stock at the store so had to arrange delivery from the warehouse to either myself or the store - which would take 2-5 days..

If you're really keen on this deal I could go in there and try to order it for 'a friend' and get it delivered to you?

Where are you based actually? You could may try the other Auckland store in Slyvia Park? Or even ringing up and speaking with someone directly rather than emailing?

His exact words were, Yes, we do a couple 'box damaged' units for 349.

Unfortunately it is an Instore deal only...

Unless there talking about something completely different.

Im in Wellington BTW

Item:

I was thinking of replacing my 5:1 & reciever with a really good soundbar and maybe adding Wireless speakers and a woofer back in at a later date.

What is stopping me is that I have 3 devices currently running through my receiver and I can't seem to see any decent sound bars with any more than 2 HDMI in! Many only seem to have 1?

Am I missing something here?

I'm currently waiting for the JBL Link Bar to release in Oct. Comes with Android TV (P) & Google assistant built in and 3x hdmi inputs.

Means you can change inputs using assistant and have full assistant overlay on all inputs.

Ok, so I've just connected my new HT CT800 to my Sony TV and there is no sound! Please see the new thread I have opened if you think you can help, thanks!

You have to define what audio goes where in the settings.  I've got mine set to no audio through the TV, so all audio is passed out the rear TV output and across to the external audio device.
