clevedon: Did you buy it on the 11th of June? Did you get in your car to go to the shop and return home? I did it all from my desk.

$10 buys a lot of petrol.  I suppose not if you live in the wops :oþ but my local JB Hifi is only 5 minutes down the road.

11th of June? I had it well before then - and no, I didn't get in the car, I just took a nice stroll down the road...

11th June was when I got it at the best price I found at the time, I'm not tyring to say I beat you to the first of us who purchased it - who cares who got it first. They are not Gods gift to purchasing, they have good pricing ( they are not going to be the cheapest place in the country every single time I want to purchase ) excellent service and I don't have to leave my desk and cruise around town and compete with the masses to save a dollar here or there. We live and work rural and it suits us just fine.

$3 Mondays at United Video.
$4 Tuesdays At United Video
$5 any day new releases at Civic Video.

Cool how they charge the same for Blurays as DVD's at rental stores.

Yeah, we use Fatso for hiring and they are good too. Then we just buy our all time favorites on Bluray.

LennonNZ: Whats wrong with mightyape? their pricing is good and service has been good from the stuff I have got from them in the past.

Mightyape aren't bad now.   If you are talking Watchemen specifically the problem is that the local release of this movie on Blu Ray (if and when it happens) will be theatrical cut only.  US version is the extended Directors Cut.

I buy a lot of my Blu-rays from Amazon as a good % of these are region free. Also they seem to have better versions than we get ie.Watchmen Directors Cut (which rocks btw) and most come with a free digital copy of the movie. I find Mightyape useful for buying hard to find movies where there are no region free version available from amazon, though generaly The Warehouse or JBHiFi are cheaper.

Mighty Ape is still way overpriced for an online retailer. I am Legend at $50, give me a break. I have found that JB Hi-Fi tend to have the lowest prices around. I picked up Quantam of Solace for $25 from JB about 2 weeks ago, it probably sells around $34 - $44 normally. Mighty Ape price: $50.

Mighty Ape prices are crap, always check out JB Hi-Fi before buying online. Or if you are willing to wait then buy from Amazon UK.

Edit: Removed mocking reference to MA.

I get the daily deals from Mighty ape and had some truly good deals that way. I did get burned buying Mama Mia! bluray off them for my wife's birthday so am now careful.
