My advice - do not, I repeat do not buy speakers based on reviews. Take a listen to them before purchasing - using your own source material (something you're familiar with). Buying speakers without hearing them is akin to buying a car without taking it for a test drive...
When I moved house year before last I had to buy new rear / surround speakers for my two HT rooms (the living room & the master bedroom each have a 5.1 system in them.) For the living room I bought a pair of Energy Connoisseur CB10s speakers - which were moderately expensive & quite good. For the bedroom I bought a pair of Tangent speakers from Sound Expression in WLG. They are smaller, much cheaper than the Energy CB10s, and quite possibly better! If space is at a premium, I'd recommend the Tangents.
I've had the $1300 Kef set that you are looking at for just over 1.5 years now and I'm more than happy with them. They have heaps of grunt especially when paired with a decent amp (I have a Yamaha 5.1 105w model).
I find them great for both movies and music and they are a perfect size as they aren't too big to dominate the room and are not too small so you still get a decent sound out of them.
