Good choice, gaming on a tiny screen like the less than $1000 like the laptop linked would have been crap imo.

Not a bad choice.

As much as I love laptops, they are really expensive to game on and often end up more like portable ovens.

Getting a netbook for your portable work / browsing and investing in an improved desktop makes sense. Good call.
