coffeebaron: Looking at the latest Excel sheet from the Chorus website is says:

 WAF WAIAU_PA WAF/A 07WAF2C N 5 Q2

Which is quarter 2, year 5!

That's along way off.

Well damn. Frown

What is the Year number based off of? Looking at that same file, it says WAF/B was scheduled for Year 1 Q3. According to SAT, this is the RBI cabinet completed in March for the other half of town (out of reach of my address). So does this mean that WAF/B is already installed, but we have to wait until like 2017 for WAF/A?

We are in year 2. Year goes from July to June, so year 3 starts 1 July 2013 and year 5 starts 1 July 2015.

Hopefully it's just a mix up.

If you want 3-5Mbps now though, let me know; I can install a RBI solution.

Going to double check what the story is... and making sure Chorus update SAT to reflect reality...

What do you mean by that? Even 3-5Mbps would be a big improvement, but I don't see how that would be possible without wireless or 3G. I thought my line speed was right for the attenuation, and the attenuation was correct for the distance?

Much appreciated, thanks.

I was just reading about Kansas City getting 700Mbps fibre, while here I am with speeds 1000+ times slower, paying almost the same price. Frown

RBI = Rural Broadband Initiative which will be delivered from a cell tower, rather than your ADSL line.

I can confirm that SAT is out of date and WAF/A is now scheduled for Oct 2015. WAF/C is by June 2016. The rest are live now...
