That's a really interesting issue, definitely not a congestion thing though. Something is introducing a lot of noise on the line to cause it drop and resync. Is there something like an electric fence controller that comes on, or some other machinery that fires up at about the time the problem?

 

How do you get it to resync back at the higher rate, does it need a modem power cycle, or is it coming back by itself?

 

 

Highly likely it's a street lamp or such, heavy load turning on and changing the RF conditions...

Nothing that I can think of, certainly not that would affect users in about a 15km radius except maybe streetlights.
Usually it resets itself again in the morning, but if it hasn't done it by the time I'm ready to start work I'll reset the wan connection on the modem

so one of the faults folk already have put on a test a few days ago; I've started another to verify. but the duty cycle aligns perfectly with a faulty street lamp.

I'll have a chat with the rep, i highly suspect they didnt have much to act upon there.
