Knew i forgot to add something. I tried the patch as well. XP Pro SP3, installed fine. But yet, still the stuttering. I installed it soon after i tried the PCI latency tool, still did nothing. I tried after the patch. Again, nothing worked.
How about the latency timings? I have enough free time coming up. Also any other ideas on what it could be? I still find it incredibly weird how the stuttering doesn't happen on my onboard audio. Could it be with any of the connections of the sound card? like the soundcard to my speaker system? I have the green, black and yellow/orange cables. Could it be that the black and yellow/orange cables somehow cause this to happen?

It may look like it installed fine, but we don't know if it was able to complete the setting updates on XPSP3. Does the tool show any changes? Some changes are outside that scope, but anyway we should check.

Also VIA have an official patch but more limited patch linked from the article above:

Adding to your list:

Start run -> DXDiag and run the sound tests - see if that comes up with anything useful.

Next look at the sound card hardware acceleration. There are four levels of hardware acceleration on XP - test at each level. It is not a scale - in reality each level does completely different things. 'Apply' after each change.

Hardware acceleration located in two places on XP:

Control Panel -> Sounds and audio devices -> Volume -> Advanced -> Performance -> Hardware acceleration (currently selected device)

Control Panel -> Sounds and audio devices -> Audio -> Sound -> Playback -> Advanced (Per sound device)

Hi guys, just been a bit busy for the week. I just tried the Hardware acceleration, turned it down to the last level. Still the stuttering, even on the DXdiag tests. This is annoying me because i know that it isn't the card that would be causing it as i got it replaced unless the card is somehow not compatible with my pc? But in the specs it lists it is compatible.

This particular sound card model seems like a piece or crap, I would return it and get a Xonar or Soundblaster tbh.
