Buttonmash: Watch the tracking page. You should have it early next week regardless of their estimated date. T&T are pretty good.

I really hope so.. Because I need to get back on track ASAP. And i dont want ot upgrade to SL, I want to do a clean install.. so..

Just got my copy from Magnum Mac on Broadway in Newmarket. :)

There were heaps in stock.

Oh, my first impression is it takes ages to install/upgrade.

My Windows 7 clean install took less time than Snow Leopard did to upgrade... Hmm...

I have the same status as you jayaldous. I put my pre-order in for SL months ago using the up to date program. Apparently my order shipped on the 28th via Australian post, and is estimated to arrive on the 9th.

For the people that have upgraded how are they finding it?

I'm actually going to ring and complain tomorrow. I think $20 for postage and packaging is umm. Well, too much considering its only standard post.

From what I hear, all we're paying for (if we used the up-to-date program) is the postage.

So what gives.

If I knew I wasn't going to have to wait on standard post to be delivered, i would have spent more and gone and got the $59 copy from my local MagnumMac Store

Im actually not that impressed with it, im running it on my unibody mbp, and I have not really noticed much in the way of improved speed, program stability is absolutely rubbish, with safari crashing multiple times a day, and other programs locking up. I would stick with leopard for the mean while until 10.6.1.

TotallyMac finally emailed me yesterday and asked for payment. I guess that means it'll be sent to me today and I'll receive it tomorrow.

Pre ordered my copy from Apple. Got delivered at my Christchurch address early on the 28th.

I have found it great. install was a breeze. Everything seems quite a bit snappier and have not had any crashes at all. Safari renders pages damn quick. Seems quicker than safari 4 on leopard.

I would compare this to the iPhone OS upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1

Currently on the phone to Apple now.

On hold for the 34th minute.

I spose that was to be expected with SL being released.

I also paid $19 for the up-to-date and received an email saying delivery by 9/9/09. For that price you think they could have sent it over night!
