Cbfd: If you can get lightwire they are pretty good and around most of the cbd - costs about 100$ for 70 gig and lasts up to 90 days
Thanks for the suggestion, I checked them out. They sound very reasonable and good but again, the idea of installation leaving permanent marks on the motel property might not please the owners very much.
trig42: Have you asked the motel owners if they'd do you a deal?
They own the Zenbu unit and could easily let you bypass it or give you a better deal.
I've sent them an email, waiting for a response. Planning to give them a ring once I get home from work too, just in case they weren't trying to dodge my question haha. I don't mind taking no for an answer because that would simply leave me with the 2Degrees idea.
I guess I could cut it with 12 GB, I’ll be returning home to Auckland every weekend leave again on Monday mornings, allowing me enough time to Netflix and what not. Basic Facebook, Google (searches, mail, stream a few videos here and there) shouldn’t be too much right? I could probably even cut my usage down to a minimum of 2 GB per month! Just the thought of being so cheap makes me laugh.
joker97: surely the youtube can wait for a month or two? how do you travel/go "on holiday" otherwise?
Don't travel much and that's why I'm panicking. I realise that I'll be working just over 40 hours a week and will have movies and such to kill the nights if I dont have work carrying forward. I usually use YouTube to stream my playlists and have private tutoring videos that come out once a week. I could download the playlist, just that one video haha.
Edit: Living with 2GB per month isn't very hard either, I'm about 90% sure of going for 2Degrees' plan. Still awaiting response from the motel to see if they could do some sort of a deal :D
