Jase2985: Right of Way

ie shared driveway

you talk to ISP, ISP talks to Fiber Company then back the other way way

You can speed this up by going to talk to your affected neighbours to explain what you want to do and taking the form letter, available from the Chorus website, then collecting them once the neighbours sign them ( assuming they're willing to do so of course), scan them and emaill to Chorus.

Consents stage has already been completed and it is not right of way , it is a stand-alone driveway which does not share with anyone else.

It like others said above is a simple installation, however they did found some additional work required but the problem is since they have determined that, they never actually made any progress since then.

Four months for me if they finish next week as they promise.

I'm in a Chorus area. A coworker's install took three days (Telecom). Another coworker signed up two weeks later (Vodafone) and has been waiting three weeks so far. Hopefully mine will be closer to the "three days" end of the scale!

We have two people in my street directly opposite each other who are getting UFB installed this week. I don't know how long the red tape took to cut for them.

There has been nearly a month since I submitted the UFB installation request, The Chorus guys only turned up a couple of times

Napier here...
I am getting dark fibre. Chorus rep who came to assess the site says its ment to be a higher priority than residential gpon installs.
Been waiting 2 months.

The good news - they appear to be putting fibre into my area at the moment and from my understanding it might already be buried under the footpath a little over 6 metres from the entrance to my basement/garage.

The bad news, although the land under my garage is mine, the place is a terrace house which is probably considered to be part of a multi-unit dwelling, which I suspect will mean that it might becomes far more complicated and expensive than it needs to be.

I have my install date of the 10th of July. So that's about 3 months from request to install if it actually gets done on the day :)

Another possible holdup: If your connection is going to be fed via aerial, it may tresspass over neighbouring properties which requires additional consent like a Right of Way.
