A little better this month than last month... Thanks 2degrees (@NickMack):

Fixed your whitebox yet, @dratsab?

Mines gone the other way - worse. On 2degrees in Wellington as well.
Have a feeling it's my Netgear Orbi since I use this for termination.

Some interesting speed changes through the month that looks to have contributed to this.

freitasm: Fixed your whitebox yet, @dratsab

Looks like there's no fix for it. No matter what I've tried (and support have told me try exactly the same things all over again*) it doesn't send data. The LED under dual arrow constantly blinks.

*Except for one thing: I've assigned it a static IP in the router instead of it picking up a pool address. I'll look at changing that.

Edit: Looks like I'll have to reboot my router first. All I'm getting once I've entered my login details is a spinning wheel of death.

Left the router for a while and it finally timed out on the login screen after which I was able to log in fine and dandy. Took the fixed address away from Whitebox, restarted it and it's now got a pool address but is still not phoning home - much as I suspected would be the case. Time to head out and buy a new [small] chainsaw for better fun :-)

I don't know what my SamKnows box is up to, but it really struggles to correctly speed test my line.

Manual speed tests from my desktop show a perfect line speed, SamKnows on the overhand shows me averaging only 30% of my gig connection.

That average seems strange with those max and min.

Yea the minimum it says its not the full truth its because I was playing around with routers, Its actually far more stable and my local never really drops below full speed 24/7

below is a month of data where it drops is my playing around with a router for a few days,

Huh, just had an email from SamKnows asking me to do the same old stuff they've suggested twice before and I've advised them I've done. Not sure exactly what they think is going to be achieved by me repeating my actions a third time. Naturally, there's still absolutely nothing in my dashboard. I think it's more a case of Sam doesn't know. This whole thing's turned into a bit of a waste of time and effort so I'll just unplug it.

@dratsab I seem to remember you implemented MAC filtering - have you checked this?

That was back in the ugly old days of HG659B. No MAC filtering set up on my GWN7000 :-)
