So confirming as the propogation of terminology seems to have confused things.

ONT in Garage cabinet > Port1 in Lounge > WAN port of Spark Router
LAN1 of Spark Router in Lounge > Port2 in Garage Cabinet > New Switch as mentioned next
Place a small 5 port switch in Garage Cabinet to distribute LAN around house
Switch in Garage Cabinet > Other room outlet and place an AP or Router in L2 bridge to act as AP and local LAN switch
Repeat for other room

Thank you for the help so far It has definitely cleared some things up for me.

I think that what I would like to have is perhaps setup 2 seperate access points in the house and configure seperate subnets etc. this would work well for one person who is using the back section of the house and me mostly in the front section with seperate SSID's.

This is the current setup

Hi, so from what you say you are two independant folk, just using the same BB account?

There are better ways to do what you are doing, but not with ISP supplied routers. If it were me I would put a Mikrotik or Edgerouter in the Garage configured with two seperated LANs for each of you. aAd then a couple of Inwall Unifi APs, that advertise both SSID's and give you access to a wired LAN port at each AP, my 2c

Doing it your way.. You’ll need to run Ethernet from the ONT to the room where your router is going to be and then to keep the daisy chain you’ll need to run more Ethernet cables from each room where your makeshift APS are to where the router is which is gonna be messy, there’s easier and tidier ways to do this which have been suggested previously.

Seems to be rather complicated, why dont you just share the same network.

If the BB account is in your name your responsible for whatever the other person does anyway even if on separate subnet.

Yea doesn't have to be on a seperate subnet will probably just share the same lan.

and with the in wall setup with edge router i think it will be neat

Hi, sadly no, they require POE af/a standard, the Edge router only supports passive POE all be it both 24 and 48v

Having someone play crap out your spotify connect speakers is more annoying than stupid insecure bluetooth speakers.

Best keep other peoples spyware riddled junk off my network. No different to a guest network where they cant see my dlna server or screw around with my lights.
