I've got similar heat pumps and I'm using Aruba APs.

One additional way to test/interact with the units is via the hard(ish) to find Web App

My network for IoT devices is WPA2 only so I don't appear to be hitting your issue.

Is anyone else here also using echonet to connect Home Assistant? It appears that there are some odd UDP issues when traversing VLANs i'm still trying to troubleshoot.

Can't help you with your query, but damn, thanks for the URL - I didn't know that existed. Means I can run it on my Galaxy TAB A, which for some weird reason will not clear the sidebar from the Mitsi App display no matter what, meaning it obscures 1/3rd of the display, very frustrating.

Got the same issue with the app on my tablet. Very frustrating.

I have the Web App open when I'm working from home. Great for checking the aircon around the house.

Actually, I got that fixed (worked around?) last night. Go to Advanced Settings / Default View, and from the drop down list, select "App default". This will keep the sidebar on the screen, but will at least fit all of the other screens into the available space on the screen. Still a bit annoying, but at least you can use it and see all of the data. Hope that helps. (Worked on my Galaxy TAB A).

Update - same issue is happening on network I set up just for the heat pump (and for troubleshooting this). As the error seems to indicate a DNS issue according to the heat pump WiFi module, I could change the router's DNS to something I haven't had running before, e.g. Google's 8.8.8.8 and see if changes anything. I highly doubt there will be any difference though.

At the end of the day, this could actually just be a module fault - I wish there was some way I could try another module to do a comparison before spending the $$ on what could be no change to the fault. I might reach out to Mitsubishi (or an approved installer/dealer) and see if that's an option. I'll buy a replacement if I have to, but don't want to waste money if it's not the cause of the problem.

In the UniFi settings you can change the DNS for that VLAN only (your cameras) setting it outside if your routers DNS. Would recommend Quad9 (9.9.9.9,149.112.112.112) over Google DNS more from a privacy and tracking point of view. Quad9 also does malware filtering: https://www.quad9.net/.

Other than that it’s super strange that this is happening. I’ve never encountered this before. Perhaps contact BDT who I’ve found darn helpful in the past for some advise: https://www.bdt.co.nz/app/melview/

I have a spare MAC568 in my garage if you’re interested. I’m in Tauranga.

Thanks for the link, I might give them a try. Can you be more specific about setting a different DNS for each vlan please? I can't find it in the settings anywhere.

I'm running the heat pump in it's own vlan - a separate network from the default and CAMS networks, it also connects via a different SSID that's tied to that network. Sorry if it's an obvious setting, but I can't find it.

Thanks Kickinbac, that's very generous. I know the module plugs into the PCB inside the heat pump, but I'm not sure how much disassembly is required to access the part of the PCB it connects to. I'll keep you in mind and reach out if I run out of options. Very much appreciated 👍

Edit your camera network (assuming this is a VLAN) and scroll down - it is under "DHCP Service Management" so hit "Show Options":

Then untick Auto on DHCP DNS Server and add the DHCP servers in (1 & 2):

If you're using IPv6 you'll need to scroll down and edit this also.

Cool, thanks for that. Didn't think to look under DHCP options for additional DNS settings, but there you go. Not running IPV6 so no worries there.

Yes, this 'heat pump' network is a separate vlan.

Cheers.
