Pepsicle: Hmmm...ok so I'm still having issues connecting via wi-fi. Wi-fi is connected and signal strength = excellent however when I try to load FB/Google Play/Google the connection times out/says there is no internet connection....my partner (who has no credit and is on 2degrees as well) can connect to our wi-fi on his phone no issues. Any suggestions?

Your phone is broken?

Connection to WiFi is not related to 2degrees in any way - balance is irrelevant in this case.

Are you sure your router is not configured to allow only some MAC addresses to connect? Have you tried with other WiFi access points?

Quite possibly! Laughing

Won't connect to wi-fi at home or work.....so that would be an issue with the actual phone right?

Had nothing but issues with this phone, it's already been sent away to be repaired once and I've only owned it 6 months!

Well, it certainly does sound like the only common factor is the handset. Especially since it won't connect to Wifi.

I guess it is my fault, I do know it all... The help section of the website is fairly easy to find and took almost no time at all to find the link http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/settings sorry for disturbing you with my comment. I guess the internet failed you. As I stated earlier; there are more issues if the phone can't access wifi.

Hi everyone Laughing. Please don't laugh.....but my 2 year old daughter has hid my phone from me. 4 days and I still can't find the wretched thing!

In the meantime....my partner bought himself an Android tablet at the weekend and you guessed it, he can't connect to Wi-Fi at home either LOL.......maybe we're just not destined to own any Android products! Is there some super special setting we're supposed to use to connect to WI-FI using Android? Apparently the tablet is connected but still can't browse. I logged into D-Link and had a quick nosey but nothing jumped out at me....

It sounds like it's the router configuration, not the mobile devices. Are you absolutely sure there's no MAC filtering enabled on the router?

Yes, checked last night and MAC filtering is off. I feel like giving up, I'm not a technical IT kind of person.

You haven't got weird wireless settings like N-only (and your devices are G) or vice versa? I've also seen some devices refuse to see a network that wasn't on channel 6.

I have no idea, how would I check this? Would it be on the router settings?

Yes, probably under 'advanced' wireless settings or something similar.

SaltyNZ might be onto something. Also check how many networks your devices can see. Perhaps it's some interference? In such case you might have to change channels.
