alasta: This drives me crazy too. I already know if my bill has been emailed - I don't need my bloody phone playing god save the queen to tell me so!
I really appreciate 2degrees looking into this and getting some clarification on the feasibility of allowing these messages to be disabled. Hopefully a solution will be available before too long.
Time to find a new industry!
SteveON: First world issue - grow up.
Shock: Had an interesting text alert experience yesterday when comparing to the month before:

31/5 03:22pm - "Hi. See your email email for this month's bill for $xx.xx due in -5 days. If you've set up an auto payment there's no need to do anything.
06/6 2:57pm - "Hi 2degrees here. Have you forgotten to pay your account? Your payment of $xx.xx is now due. Please pay this now by visiting Your 2degrees on our website"

Note I did nothing yesterday payment wise. I just ignored the texts and it seems to have sorted itself. Confusing though!
