Not to Hijack but I am thinking of moving to VDSL but I am reluctant to after looking at my stats.......
2 limiting factors I can see
according to google I am 750m from the cabinet (yes I know this is not a perfect distance)
I am connected to a bell terminal for a aerial drop :(
my attenuation is currently 14 db but I only connect at 14528, am I getting cross talk or other issues with the oldskool lines ? as I have replaced the direct line from the jack to the dmarc with cat5e, (all other points are disconnected) so I doubt I have a internal wiring issue

at 14db, your borderline if your not denied right off the bat.
sounds like your internal wiring may be up to scratch, but not the outer wiring which could account for a slightly increased attenuation mind you.
being that you have measured 750M yourself, your line stats would line up to around about 1KM, ild put you closer to 1KM rather than 750M unfortunately.
crosstalk could very well be playing a roll in your current speeds.

See the thing is, Im roughly 700-750m from my local cabinet. Im getting a good 30mb down 10mb up on VDSL. It is a gamble, but if you like gaming or downloading, it helps a bunch. Or really anything to do with uploading.
