So should someone with UFB stick with 5.x or upgrade?

30/10 UFB and went to 6.03 a few days after its release and people confirming it was working fine. I'm not a major user of its features. Just some pinholes and other generic changes. No issues so far

The only quam that could be related is I have is DNS lookup problems. I'm often getting page not available or unable to find messages until I refresh a few times. However I was not using chrome long enough before upgrading it to confirm if it is related to the FW update, or chrome

apart from IPv6 issues (which im yet to confirm if im lucky i dont have them or 5.22 is handling correctly.) no, its the dsl chip incompatibility thats the biggest issue on the new firmwares.

5.22 never seemed to have any IPv6 issues for me either.

I do have a friend who had problems with secure connections on 6.01 that was fixed in 6.03 though. Either way if you're already on 5.x and don't have any problems then there isn't really much point in upgrading unless you're after a specific feature in the later versions.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Hi,

Fritzbox 7390 upgraded to 6.03 on Snap VDSL to a Ikanos cabinet.

Generally works... except that every so often the connection stalls for a second or two before picking up again. This is annoying me.

I have brought home a Draytek Vigor 2750 and a Zyxel P870H-51a-v2 to try. :)
