I suspect it's more like the revenue from all the call terminations to a voicemail service of some type far exceeds the cost of a few calls like mine to the helpdesk.

Let's agree to differ on this - I got what I need and that's my main concern. To be honest I'm not surprised this is the default setting - if you follow the money it's obvious.

This is the single worst waste of time on these forums in my personal opinion.

 

The question was answered in 2014. You can remove VM entirely with a phone call, you can disable it via the IVR.

 

Just because you don't want VM, doesn't mean no one does.

 

Get over the fact that there is a wait time during a pandemic and move on to a more useful use of time.

I think this has been answered now - a simple call and you can disable voicemail.
