It's a TXT record. Use your domain name in the domain field.

OK, still not working, here is what I added:

Name          TTL        Class     Type     Spec
xxx.co.nz    3600       IN         TXT      "v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.google.com ~all"

You've given it 24 - 48 hours to propogate? Sometimes DNS can be slow, though it's usually picked up in 2-4 hours.

Bit hard to help given you're trying to disguise your domain name, unless you're doing pr0n. Really need more information to run diagnostics, more email headers, and more test emails from different servers - hotmail plus a couple of others, big and small.

Sorry, domain is cml.co.nz

I was not sure what should be posted on a website.  I paralleled what had been hidden in @Rangor's post.

Depends how paranoid you are really. I'll have a poke around later. You should be emailing that Orcon address from every account you can access, seeing what happens.

Your domain email setup looks all good including SPF (I suspect since you've now fixed it).

Give it another try tomorrow, if mail is still being rejected by Orcon sent from your domain, please drop me a PM and I'll have the boys look into it.

I posted that link earlier, and I tested the SPF record I suggested using that tool before I posted it. But good tip :p

I've put in the SPF record and waiting a suitable time for propagation... but still getting bounced.  Tested ok through Kitterman.

Further suggestions welcome.

Please PM me with some details.  I'm in charge of the team which looks after the mail platforms for Orcon so I should be able to get to the bottom of this for you.

You should try the other suggestions that've been given, namely emailing that address from a variety of email servers and reporting back what happens.

You can also look at the MXToolbox health report, which reports quite a few errors. My domains all have the same red errors and work fine though.

When Orcon works it out I'd be really interested in the result.

Probably just cached at orcons end. Spam filters aggressively cache because of the volumes of crap they have to deal with. That's why getting it set up right before sending emails is important.
