I am on 2degrees pay monthly. I looooveee this widget - one click and it gives you all the balances (leftover minutes, texts, data)

Unfortunately, the widget displayed - 2degrees balance 'ERROR' (kinda expected since i am not on prepay so there will not be any balance). Can you please fix this? Thank you.

Thanks for the praise makes the work worth it. Can you "copy" what it shows in the balances window, I can see then what values I can show in the widget for a on-account customer..

Wow, I was wanting one of these. I think its a pretty neat widget. I'm glad there is an option for wifi only. Looking forward to seeing updates :)

I just posted an update - 0.9.2.

Release Notes:

Now supports Android 1.6 and above instead of 2.1.
Add "National Data" as an item on front screen with "Text" if there too.
Add check for 2degrees sim before entering username/password. If not using 2Degrees you will not be able to use the widget.

So it will show "National Data" if thats what you have purchased, along with any free texts on the widget & I have changed to the android 1.6 sdk so users of older android versions will be able to use it too..

:)

Excellent work! This widget is now prominently sitting on my IDEOS home screen. Having the data balance on the widget is what 'sold' it to me!

Maybe 2degrees could make life easier if they provided some sort of secure API for retrieving user account details?

Very nice! Thanks!

EDIT: oh tapping the widget doesn't go to the main app screen for settings any more, is it just me?

MMM... Try un-installing and re-installing, sometimes it needs a good hard restart when upgrading the apk.. Still figuring out all the gotcha's with clicking on widgets.. Also It may not have updated, the click sometimes only works after the first update (something I gotta fix)..

Any way to show the mobile broadband data as well as the national data?

On the widget, I get the correct info since I'm on prepay.

For the ads, I get boring things like 'Try Airsoft FPS Calc Basic App' and other similarly boring text only ads. Maybe since I have an IDEOS I have a smaller screen so I only get text ads... Dunno...

I will have a look sometime in the next couple of days to include some of the above, maybe I show the 39 minutes in the large number.

I think also if there is broadband zone data and no national data, then the zone data total will show? or maybe I add options to which data points are shown.. that might work..

Anyone up for a "paid" version without adverts - maybe $2 USD its a thought.. just trying to make some pocket money from my creative hobby.

adverts are served up with little control from me - try loading up with gps turned on?? the FPS calc and sport airsoft adverts are "House" adverts I can put up when admob cant find an advert to send to you.. When they get the adsense working for everyone then the adverts will get more NZ orientated..
