Hi, it could be arranged in any manner, it also could be that nothing is connected and somewhere in the roof space all the cables meet but not quite, this would not be abnormal in a new house or renovation, normally its left to the new owner to call in Sky or whoever to connect, the installer will then search out the cables and connect as desired.

Yeah you may be right. I don't really have any way of finding out though.

Can anyone explain or have a guess as to why one of the outputs in the lounge has 3 identical looking f connector outputs? What would the point in that be? Could they provide different services?

Its normal in a Primary AV area, infact its pretty much mandatory now to have 3 or 4 coax runs. You require two for two seperate LBand feeds from the Sky dish (1 if its a standard box, 2 for MySky) and a UHF antenna feed and a 4th for an RF return.

Why oh why don't people label outlets when they install them. It makes life so much easier later on. Looks like you need to contact someone who knows what was installed and/or trace all the coax runs from every socket and see where they go. A difficult and time consuming task to be sure.
