Trackside on DVB-S is one of the best looking channels on sat. The least compression of them all! Good job Sky.

Has anyone noticed that Prime looks like crap on aerial down here?

I notice it around the logo and rugby scoreboards at the weekend. It seems to have MPEG artifacts surrounding it.

Hope it's temporary.

Prime looks like crap everywhere, runs at 2 Mbps.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I'm still watching DVB-S, I don't mind the Prime feed on it.

I hooked up another CRT to Freeview yesterday, I still think a decent widescreen CRT with component/rgb from a satellite receiver in SD looks better than HD displayed on cheap LCD crap with 8 bit drivers in them.

Is the terrestrial service a 10-bit video format or is it's colour banding just as crap as SD?

I just got a new Sony TV with a digital tuner built in and from the numbers on it I'm getting 100% quality with signal strength in the 90s but, of course, I still need to direct my UHF aerial towards Forest Hill.

The strange thing is, is that when I got the TV I tried the UHF box I've now given my father for his CRT TV and it's reading the same levels as the new TV, which it wasn't doing before.

I'd assume that judging by these numbers that Forest Hill is at full power but don't quote me on that.

I'm sure if they're running at full power yet, Signal quality hasn't changed for me and I'nm still getting random audio glitches where the audio drops for a split second.

Wonder when we're getting the extra channels.

I'd like an answer to that as well.

It does look like we're on full power now I'm getting 100 signal strength on all the channels.

Also the extra channels and radio stations are there now as well, just no audio or picture
