Rights can be different for free to air and subscriber channels I guess.

They can buy the program rights septately. A lot of discovery stuff is put on 1/2/3/4. What I liked was thefrazen planet series was aired in NZ before us cable.

If I ran a Freeview channel, it would be full of classic british comedies, with the ocasional good American comedy. I'd probably show some classic kids shows, or drama series etc..
