My favourite encounter with Ingram so far - we had this switch:
Drop-shipped to our customer. It arrived without a power supply, so we let Ingram know and they promised to get back to us ASAP. Time passed so we rang them and it turns out that their product manager had emailed 3Com asking them to confirm that it is supposed to have a power supply before doing anything about it.
Call me cynical, but if you were as bereft of a clue when you are supposedly product manager for this range, then you'd really have to ask yourself if you were in the right career, huh?
