Bantry: Yeah they have reasons but that isn't really the point

Bantry seemed to get something out of them, I'm interested to hear what it was.

A mate of mine just had this happen to them. Apparantly they no longer allow web hosting companies to use their services. I was about to start using them for my telecommunications business for direct debiting customers who want it but after his expierence with them I have decided not to use them.
They did the same thing to him- no communication. Just cut them off.

It just shows they are unprofessional and I don't want this to happen to me.

Hi All,

I too just had my payment gateway account cancelled by Flo2Cash, had no warning other than an email stating, we have done an internal Audit, and you are missing criteria. Email this back or your account may be disabled. Checked my payment gateway and it was already disabled most likely well before the email.

As I now see they stopped sending me transaction reports at the start of this month, last one received was 1/3/2012. I have been with them for around 6 months, nothing has changed with my business in that time. I do not sell anything dodgy, only computer and cable products.

As far as I’m concerned the way this company runs it’s business is like “A corporate  pushing round the little people” to be honest I have not felt that confident with them since day one, as they pretty much forgot about my initial sign up. Had to email them twice to get it on track again. I paid a setup fee and my first monthly fee almost a month before the actual account was up and running.

This to me is like going to the movies, about half way through they just stop playing the movie, turn out the lights and open the emergency exit doors, after a while you eventually leave wondering what the hell just happened… go back to find out what happened, well that’s an answer you will never get….

I would imagine that many people have had the account cut at the start of this month with a similar ethic as stated above.

To be honest, flo2cash's pricing is not all that competitive anyway. In fact, for a fully fledged gateway and MSP I'd put them at the high end of the spectrum. If you are averse to solutions like PayPal (I can't recommend against PayPal enough!) then have a chat with someone at your bank. You'll very likely come out of it paying less than flo2cash ever charged you with a minimal increase in monthly fees and a massive decrease in per transaction fees. Like, 2 whole percentage points. It adds up. The best part is that most banks now have fully featured solutions including a gateway (Westpac uses DPS/PaymentExpress, ASB has CardPay, etc). You will probably end up paying $300-$400 in setup fees though.

Flo2Cash do offer the "holding" account where if you don't have a merchant facility, they act as a clearing house on your behalf.  Works well if you don't do enough volume to make it worthwhile.

(I haven't seen any other providers do this, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...)

Paymate do this, and I find them good, although their support is slow.

I wonder why that would be?

What is the bet the real reason they are axing a lot of the accounts is they aren't deemed profitable enough and "audit" sounds nicer :)

I am not quite sure how that could be.
Without knowing their costs, i would have thought more accounts = more transactions = more transaction commissions they get to charge.

anyhow i look forward to someone reporting back with the actual answer they give

Well, after almost a month I have been notified my account is now active again, for what reason it was re activated, or disabled I still have no idea. The only thing they will say is that an Audit was done and some accounts did not meet the new criteria, that's it.

What I still dont understand is why/how the accounts on a paid service can just be disabled/enabled without notification. Unless you monitored the account every day you wouldnt even know if you had a continued service.

Hi Bantry,

We have read your comments and looked up your account with us. Your account with us is fine. We notice that you are still transacting.

In the past few weeks we have put in some additional checks and processes. As a result of that, some adjustments have been made to a selected number of our customers. The purpose is to create a more robust process and system that protects everybody against potential fraud and chargebacks. Customers are encouraged to contact us if they experience any issues in the meantime. We will work with our customers to resolve these issues.

We highly encourage you to contact us if you still have any issues/complaints that you wish to discuss with us. Putting your frustration on a post will not get your problem solved. If you are still having issues with your account, please give us a ring on 09 448 1100 or email us at support@flo2cash.co.nz.

Regards

The Team at Flo2Cash

- As to those merchants who claim that their Flo2Cash accounts have been cancelled by us, please contact us if you wish to discuss your matter with us. Due to privacy reasons, we cannot disclose the exact nature of this publicly. Again, the best way to resolve any issues is to deal with them directly. If you have any complaints or problems we encourage you to make contact with us as soon as possible.

Hi Flo2cash,

Thanks for responding to me on a forum rather than notifying me directly. If what you are saying is true, than please email me directly with notification that the account is fully restored back to what it was. I'll eagerly await this response.

Bantry, why don't you just email the support address supplied asking for this? Surely it would be a lot quicker if you just emailed them saying "hi, saw your post, it's all good then?", instead of posting here, waiting for someone to read, then waiting for a response, etc...

Flo2Cash, can you confirm this is only happening to people who have use your clearing house service, rather than having their own merchant facilities.
