nakedmolerat: thanks linuxluver! thanks zocster!
no, i dont have g2 atmsince nokia n900 is delayed, i am thinking of getting cheap android phones either magic or hero. atm, i am leaning towards magic because of OTA update, and android 2.0 will have multitouch support. hardware wise, my understanding is they both use the same hardware except for 3.2MP vs 5.0MP.
interesting to know that you can get OTA with parallel import phones with vodafone. maybe i should just go with magic... any thoughts?

There are 2 Magic versions.
* a HTC version with PVT32A, 288MB RAM, and HTC software additions such as Exchange support, PDF Viewer, and QuickOffice. (PVT32A)
* a Google version with PVT32B, 192MB RAM and 'Google' branding. (PVT32B) < Vodafone NZ retail sells this, at least mine is.
IMPORTANT: These versions require different boot images and wireless lan kernel modules - so you need to determine which one of these you have before you go installing new roms.
To determine which rom you have, please Power off your phone (hold power for a couple of seconds and select Power Down) - once off hold down the Back button and Press Power. This will drop you into Fastboot mode and the top of the screen should have all of your ROM information, including which PVT you have, SPL and Radio versions.
Oops that didn't really answer your question, I'd go for the tattoo myself.
