Colours on the second are much more pleasing, although no way for me to know whether they are more accurate since I wasn't there.

I would think the first is the HOX one due to the exposure, likely as a result of the BSI sensor.

How about some full res versions of the images from somewhere so we can see how much noise is in each?

The first captures the texture of the mouse a lot more, the second thinks it is a matte surface. And yes the second picture represents the colour of the desk better. Halogen light 30cm above the mouse, explains the slight light reflection on each image

Jeez, really hard to tell with different focus points! I actually think the second may be the HOX on full zoom, because the first has noise levels and colour noise more characteristic of the DHD...

Right and wrong in ways. Yea the second is the One X except it isn't at full zoom, worryingly

Was taking a bunch of sample pictures for the first time today and everything didn't seem all that amazing... then I checked out your post and things seemed a lot more impressive than what I'm managing here. It's a phone with a few settings, not a DSLR will hundreds...

Only explanations I could think of (tinfoil hat warning) are that I've flashed the 1.29 RUU whereas most others have not been updated to 1.29 or that when I shake the phone I can hear the sensor rattling around

Shots I took today don't feel like an improvement over the Atrix 2 I had 2 months ago and I don't have any shots I could compare with the Prime. If the Atrix is the equivalent I'm kinda disappointed, regardless of the burst stuff... Might just do a blog post about the camera now after all

Gonna try some more outdoor shots tomorrow morning when there's not as much direct sunlight and see if it makes a difference

I think you're probably speaking to the reproducibility of good shots on the One X, it's best are competitive with the best of last year and better than their older stuff (video aside), however I find I tend to take more shots to get a "good one" than I do with my Note or 4S.

In relation to the "full zoom" thing I was only referring to zooming in on the picture as provided, so I'm just right, rather than right and wrong ;p

Sorry if this has already been covered in this thread but I can't remember it. My HOX is a Telecom branded one with the complementary XT micro-sim that came with it installed. I was thinking I might try either a VF or 2D micro-sim in it just to get a comparison of coverage and data speeds where I live and work. Is it just a matter of installing the new sim and then adding the relevant APNs?
I notice there is an option in the APN page to 'return to default'. Will this reselect the APNs appropriate to Telecom, since it is the stock, unrooted 1.26 telecom ROM that I am running?
Don't know how long I'm going to be able to resist rooting this phone, even if its just to replace the splash-screen and boot animation, like I've done on my Hero, DHD and Transformer, because the current one is just so.....well..... boring.

I dont know how much was the One X vs the Desire, but I swapped from Vodafone to XT and the data speeds were night and day. Vodafone was painfully slow in comparison

Decided to bite the bullet. Got an HTC One X and switched to Telecom XT after having major reception issues with Vodafone.

I am sure the SGS3 will be a great phone too but I felt like something different this time. Maybe Samsung can entice me back next year.

So far, pretty stoked with the One X. It is fast, the battery so far is acceptable for daily usage. The update to 1.28 will be even better. Camera seems good.

I got a nillkin case which seems to protect the phone nicely without adding too much bulk or hiding the look of the phone.

Hey team

Not sure if im doing anything different but I am getting a solid 1-1/5 to 2 days use out of my phone, useing it for alot of music/radio, internet, Facebook and gaming.

Got it imported (so was updated to 1.28.707.10 on first boot) so that may be the reason i am getting better use than those on 1.26 but needless to say im super happy. with 1.29 on its way its possible for even better battery life.

Just got myself one of these white cases for my grey model phone, looks and feels amazing!

I am still on 1.26 but yesterday I got 3 hours and 11 mins screen time with 25% battery left at the end of the day.

Usage included a fair bit of web browsing, installing apps and games, 30 mins of gaming, some texting and using the camera etc. Seems pretty good to me, especially if it gets better with 1.28.

Not a very typical day but still shows im getting a good 1.5 to 2 days from my phone, 44hrs here but i was mostly trying out build your own clock apps haha

I can post another after a more standard day if needed or if you want me to run somthing..

Heh, I was just offered an upgrade to 1.29 on my 2degrees HOX. Custom ROM time this weekend I think!

So I did a little idle battery life test, 3G data on, wifi and auto-sync off. Went from 77 to 72 in 6.5 hours, and dropped a further 3% after a few minutes of use

Comparing that to the S3... its not good. S3 dropped literally 1 percent in 6 hours with no silly drop afterwards. Though it should be worth saying airplane mode was on but wi-fi and autosync was on
