As I understand it...

Untagged is like a regular DSL connection. You don't need a special router, and all traffic is treated equally.

Tagged requires a VLAN-capable router and allows "high priority" traffic (eg. VoIP) to be prioritised.

VDSL or UFB?

We used to do UFB VLAN tagging but now no longer require it to allow a wider use of devices. As long as you have a router that supports PPPoE and an ethernet WAN port you'll be sweet. This doesn't necessarily mean that the router you get will support speeds on our Elite plan though (200/200) and should definitely have a look at this before purchasing any routers.

For VDSL VLAN tagging is still required though.

UFB connections consist of an EIR best effort speed component and a dedicated CIR component. Without a VLAN you have no access to the CIR component.
