Can anyone shed any light on what Sky are intending to do with their Sky Sport channels next month. I know that their are doing away with the Rugby Channel but other than that nothing...

Cheers in advance

Iain

Looking forward in the EPL it appears it's something like this :

SS1 = rugby
SS2 = cricket
SS3= sports mix
SS4 = league
SS5 = motorsports
SS6= golf

But I am only guessing based on visible information

Scanning from my DVB-S2 tuners, I am also seeing a new "SKY Sport 8 HD" channel on 12295.  And the TAB Trackside 1 & 2 channels have disappeared.  As have the SD versions of ESPN2, SM Classics and SM Disney.  I presume that everyone is now getting them from the HD versions, so the SD ones are redundant.  We should see more of that so all the SD versions of things disappear, and that will make room for new things.

TAB Trackside has gone to Spark. KIts not there yet, so no doubt will move over when these new Sky Sport changes take effect

Sky Sport 8? If so, you would assume there will be less issues with Fanpass subscribers missing out with lack of popup access

If you have time the Lyngsat website needs a major update on the SKY Transponders

 Trackside hasn't been removed.  This was only the SD versions.  Customers now see the remaining HD versions of these channels.

Yes, I found the HD versions now.  They have a different name "TAB Tside 1 HD" versus "TAB Trackside 1".

Is this replacing Fanpass or will Fanpass just be a lite version of this?

Nice! I'm definitely looking forward to the Sky Sport NOW package. Hopefully a solid performer. Will cut down my monthly spend a little not requiring basic/STB.
