Can you help someone?

I have never had a problem setting up my four Morepork Cameras to any of my Previous ISP modems. But this new Sky Fibre Router AR2140 is driving me nuts. I have an old Vodafone hub that works an Electric Kiwi modem that works an Asus RT-AC59U that works and that would have been my preferred modem but I read on another post that the SKY modem isn't bad at all and it's normally best to connect with the provided Modem.

But I cannot get the Cameras once paired with a LAN cable to then find my wireless network when the modem is right next to the cameras. WPS is of no use either.

Couple of things to try, mostly changing configurations on the webui, e.g. going to http://192.168.1.1 (IP may be different for you)

1. Switch off Band Steering, change 2.4GHz SSID and 5GHz SSID
Connect your camera to the 2.4GHz SSID

2. Further more, Switch off Wi-Fi 6, try again

Compatibility is a problem for new standard WiFi even they are supposed to be backward compatible.

If you have client isolation on then I would expect it not to work at all.

Don't know if this helps in any way but check if there are any firmware updates for the cameras.

I changed to Deco wifi earlier this year and my son's work laptop wouldn't connect to the 2.4GHz. His company's IT dept had to update wifi driver in his laptop and that solved the issue.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

There are some issues when a router/ap offers the higher speeds of wifi 6 on 2.4Ghz with some buggy old device implimentations - it affected a lot of things with the older ESP SDK and I am lead to believe some realtek gear too. Also WPA3 mixed mode will screw up a lot of devices.

@steveone Keep both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks as the same name; there is no reason to separate them. If your device connects to 2.4GHz it'll only be able to see the 2.4GHz network anyway.

Band Steering and WiFi 6 will be what is breaking the cameras. You're better to look at other solutions. If there is an option to disable WPA3 you may find you'll need to do this too.
