Hi guys

So i just came accross the Slingbox pro which enables sky to be streamed over wifi to nearby PC's for viewing.
I think this is amazing however I cant find it in NZ and was wondering if anyone has used it
Any reviews?
Im also wondering how other people have solved the issue of not wanting to get to set box's

I think you still need the set top box.  Wonder how it gets around the HDCP (High Def Copy Protection).

Just to note:

  • Built-in Digital Tuner

  • Features an integrated digital tuner for access to analog or digital cable (clear QAM), and digital over-the-air broadcasts (ATSC). The digital tuner may be used independently from your cable or satellite box.

The tuner wouldn't work in NZ (Digital Cable is encrypted).  The 'digitial over the air' broadcasts in ATSC refers to the American standard, so wouldn't work for DVB-T here.

I already have  my sky hdi but want to send it to another room.
So it seems i cannot use the slingbox bcause of the encryption huh?
Well that sucks.
Is there any device that can wirelessly send the signal to another room without interference.
If there isnt why not? I can stream from laptop to my xbox movies why cant i stream live tv from sky box to a pc??

Not saying it wouldn't work.. Just not sure how the Slingbox would respond to the HDCP requests from the Sky STB.
