Hi guys, i'm after an expert opinion as to where to go here.

I've just recently purchased a BenQ E2200HD LCD monitor, with the specific reason of running Sky HDi through it. It accepts HDMI input and has its own onboard speakers.

My PC currently runs via a USB sound card dongle which comes with the Plantronics GameCom 777 headset, it emulates 5.1 surround sound and i don't really want to have to run without it.

The problem at hand is, i was planning on outputting video via HDMI to my monitor and audio via RCA to 3.5mm to my onboard soundcard's LineIn. As far as i know, Windows Vista cannot play sound from two different sound card sources and here lies my wall.

The general goal is to have the sound come through my main computer so that i can have TV & OS via the one headset and not have to fumble around with speakers.

Any support on the matter is greatly appreciated :)

*edit*

I've come up with a solution, i think. I would like the verification of someone qualified in multimedia though :)

Basically, the Sky box and my USB dongle would both output audio into a 3.5mm splitter which would produce an output which my headset would then listen on.

Yeah, i don't see where you're going with this though. That's as easy as going through the menu and selecting HDMI.
