Saw a thread a while ago about MySky installs and the Rf Modulators, does anyone know if they are still doing this if you give them a call... I myself been a subscriber to Sky Tv from year 1..

Cheers again..

Yes modulators are still available.
Ring Sky tell them what you want and ask how much.

yes we went from sky old top box to mysky HD and they sold a modulator worth $75 and installed it to the house so worked the same as we had.... found channel 33 worked the best mixed with the house antenna so could get all channels thru the house

however the quality is not super geat.. still some noise but then its split 8 times from a amped rf splitter.. Leverton box I think its called. more you hang of it and more cables from that unit the more likely some noise

depends what you want to put up with.. how much a purest :)

Indeed phoned Sky earlier this morning and was told to put in the said Modulator would cost $165... so may well have a drive to Jaycar, Glenfield to get a RF modulator myself and possible cable?

Next question.. is there any one out there who would be willing to tell me/run me thru an idiots guide to getting this set up and running, as you can probably guess i am less then Tech minded....

Once again cheers.

I attempted something similar a few years back with Jaycars LM-3873 modulator, it was quite cheap and nasty, and didnt come with a power supply. I would suggest going for the next model up, the LM-3878, which has a red led display.

Pretty much just connect the RCA jacks (there should be three of them - red, white & yellow) to the mysky box and the RF output to whatever tv it is going to. And plug in the power
