Good question. Since you are asking it in the CDMA forums I'd say you don't need an unlock code, since CDMA operators do not connect phones from other networks.

i have idea what forum this falls under. i don't know about comps or phones. that is why i came here, so i can be informed. if you know about this sort of thing please let me know. i don't want someone stealing my information or crating a burnout of my phone. it has nothing to do with changing carriers. i locked the phone so that i would not accidently dial and then forgot the code. now i can't use my phone.

every cellphone in existence i know of has a keyguard that doesnt require a PIN to deactivate to allow you to safeguard against accidental calls.

Are you sure its not this? Or did you actually use a 4 digit PIN to lock it? Is the phone locked, or is the SIM locked?

i was also trying to ask this about a sanyo because i got 1 from my boyfriend and he could not remember the code and phone was not in use for a while but i am not able to get to a store and when i called they told me i had to come into a store. so i got this suncom plan and a nokia phone that i locked and i was trying to put in a certain number but when i went to unlock it it said invalid. i tried a couple of numbers and none of them right. i don't know what hit.

The easiest way to unlock a phone is contact the operator (Sprint, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile or AT&T/Cingular) directly, depending on your plan.

Check what operator you are using and contact them directly. They will probide instructions to unlock the phone or a repair agent that can do this for you.
