sorry if this is in the wrong thread as i am new, i just dont know where else to go!

I recently got a nokia 6234 and tried to do a firmware update. (from 1.3.20 to 4.91) but as i was doing it my cable came out and now my phone cant even turn on. i looked this up on google and tried out their solutions but to no avail. re-inserting the battery and trying to re update the firmware again has done nothing.

please, if you know something i don't, let me know!, i'm desperate! (and getting more and more rage by the second)

It's probably fried. The only way to fix it is to do a forced firmware flash with a proper flashing unit, you'll need to take it to the mobile phone repair shop for them to do this.

MFR have been bought by Next Electronics.  Although the Mt Wellington, AKL and Moorhouse Ave, CHCH depots will continue as status quo, the Wellington CBD depot is closing/has closed and is moving to Next Electronics workshop in Jarden Mile, Ngauranga Gorge WGTN.  Call them from a landline on 0508 REPAIR (737247)  I would assume they would charge you their minimum service fee (i won't quote that here in case i am wrong!) to force-flash the firmware :)

Cheers,

Richie
