Could someone possibly tell me how to unlock a UK Sony Ericsson K800 that is currently lock to Orange UK?!

Help would be really appreciated.

Chances are that it cannot be done.

Have you tried contacting Orange to see if they will unlock it for you?

I know it can be done, as in the UK you can get market stalls and shops that unlock phones for you, i wondered if there we're any over here?  Or software or something to do it?

do you think Vodafone would be able to do it?

Orange can do it, but they charge £25 to do, which is alot, with the added fact i would now have to phone a premium rate number from New Zealand to get it unlocked.   Just wanted a cheaper way of doing it really, or freely if i can.

Orange customer service is available on +44 7973 100 150 to provide unlock codes.
Vodafone NZ wont have access to these codes

The only other option would be to visit some of the smaller mobile shops, some of them offer unlock services e.g. one under the old Microsoft building in Auckland or on Queens Street.
