Is there really anyway to stream media on gprs useing encoder?

Is this because GPRS is just too slow to stream a live broadcaste?

No im talking about broadcasting a live video useing xp encoder...

I have been working on it for sometime and not sure if it can be done with GPRS because of the speed....Vodafone says there speed is around 50kbs per sec.

The smartphone will stream it in the cadle because its useing a pass through for the connection, but no joy with the GPRS just hangs on the media player.

Vodafone is now sending PXT video but thats in a different feild all together.

50kb/s woudl be on a very good day in good coverage..
i'm getting about 14-20k usually, occasionally exceeding 30k but not often.

I'm sure it can be done... I was in Kelburn and watched the Lord of the Rings:ROTK streaming from Couternay Place on my Pocket PC connected to Vodafone through their GPRS network. I watched for twenty minutes, live...

I'm hopping that I can sort something for this......I talked to Vodafone about it but they seemed to be alittle green on the subject.

Must be someone out there that knows alittle more about this

But didn't get a picture.

As I said before, you can stream now. There's no need to wait for 3G...

Works good for me useing encoder series9

I'm looking at my living room right now over gprs

You just have to get your bit rate down and select the destination for PC pocket.

I know pocket 2002 media had problems with not seeing any picture or sound when encoding from 7.1 but works fine with series9
