A while ago I decided to purchase a OnePlus 5 from the UK site of oneplus.net and have it shipped to my YouShop address with NZPost.
Big mistake! My fault that I didn't read their small print. When the parcel arrived at the UK warehouse I was informed that it was a prohibited item and couldn't be shipped to me in NZ because of a lithium ion battery. They offered to ship it to an address within Europe or to destroy the package within so many days. Panic stations!!
I called OnePlus UK support and explained my predicament. They informed me that it was possible to return the phone and get a full refund. Phew!! They also sent me a prepaid UPS label that they asked me to stick on the parcel and a number to include that would identify the parcel when it was returned. I requested NZPost to do this and received a response that stated they would print the online UPS label and stick it on the parcel and wait for UPS collection that I could organise online. They wouldn't put it in another wrapper and write the number that I requested them to do for my parcel identification.
Anyhow, UPS collected my parcel and in no time I received a full refund from OnePlus. Subsequently, I went to PBTech and bought my phone and ordered the accessories that they didn't have from AliExpress. Now the proud owner of a OnePlus 5 8GB RAM and am super happy with its performance. Finally
