As far as we know the A680 is still comming before Christmas. We have had nothing but positive feedback so far on the Sanyo 7400. one guy said he had been waiting 2 years to upgrade and had finally found a phone he likes. nterested to know what she did not like about it.

Oh she just didn't like the look of it, so it might have to be the TX 115c as she washed her fone the other day and we can't wait till after xmas. I was hoping someone in the know might have a good estimation but its only 13 days or so till xmas so not much hope left.

I thought the 7400 was a great featured fone and nice looking (I'd have one if I hadn't heard about the Nokia 6255) but some ladies buy cars cause they are red, not well featured, same with fones I suppose???

I have been waiting for the 6255 for quite a while now as I have discribed in my earlier threads I like the big keys for txting and dialing and the always with you radio and the bluetooth as apposed to "she who must be obeyed". I don't really care what it looks like as long as it is a clam shell to protect the keys and screen from my work invironment as it forms so much of my day it just has to function well.

Hey understand re Women and phones, car, shoes or whatever! We also eagily await the New Nokia, the 6225 has been around a while now so is getting a bit old. Unfortunately any predictions on what is coming when are are crystal ball gazing. Even phones which have been well through PTC testing have been canned at the last moment for various reasons. The Kyocera Koi was an example. Had passed all the tests etc and we were expecting it to be released any day and then it was pulled...the reason we were told was they was low customer confidence in the Kyocera brand after the battery recall on the 414 3245 range. So you never know.

Yeah, Plus Telecom have onl released low end Kyocera phones i.e Rave,Phantom so people would think they're a cheap, nasty brand of phone and won't pay much for them

Just had a play with a 6255.
Whilst its a Nokai and it has all the typical Nokia features i'm afraid it just doesnt do it for me - at all. The clamshell design is very square and awkward, the styling is gawky. Its only real upside IMHO is the radio , media player and mmc card slot. Im sure however that the Nokia purests amongst us will appreaciate it but Ill be sticking with my 7400 for now.

Great feedback on the 7400 and 6255. Be a real downer to wait this long for a phone to hav it canned a day b4 relaesw also to find its just so ugly can't live with it???

The video length on the phones probably has to do with memory. remeber they are not video cameras. I expect a fair bit from my phone but not for it to replace my video camera. I think thats a bit unfair. My opinion only of coarse.

Going in 2day to look at phones see if they know at the shop any more about the A680

Will let you all know

Went in 2day and the guy at the shop still had hopes for the A680 coming in B4 Xmas as they don't know whats coming until it arrives on the doorstep. And the word is they are still coming. So will wait till next week.

Looked at the 7400, nice phone, with nice features, if I wasn't waiting to see the Nokia 6255 I'd have one. I can see why the wife didn't Immediatly like it as some of the other smaller silver phones did have a bit more of a female look to them.
The guy took some video of me and emailed it to me. The still pics come out ok but do not buy a phone for the video feature. Its just a gimmick on any phone compared to a proper camera. I liked the little features that never get mentioned, like you can colour code your phone book groups so when some one rings the outside screen will flash say yellow or red acording to which group he or she is in, in your phone book.

I liked the phone although the shop demo already had a piece missing out of the hinge set up at the top, but the phone looked quite sturdy.

hey guys

just talked to a friend who is trialing a 6255 and it seems that there is no limit on the camcorder........it stops when the memory is full!!...... the 15 seconds must only apply to sending mms. this is GREAT!!! cant wait till i get mine :D
