Hi craigbov, yes there are plans to release a GTran 3g (EVDO) product. At this stage it's hoped to be late January, early February, however none of the dates have yet to be confirmed.

The card itself will be the same form factor as the GPC-3000 with regards to the aerial and interface (PCMCIA 16bit). The GTDialer is different, but will have features for SMS, etc. I believe there are also some PocketPC drivers for it, but I haven't been directly working on it this time round.

If there's anything specific you want to know, just drop me a line.

1x is 3G :-P

(Just being pedantic for the sake of it)

Any word on the release date for a Gtran EVDO card yet? I've been holding out just in case its coming soon.

Thanks,

Craig

Why wait for a Gtran EVDO card - the Sierra does everthing the Gtran will do and in most cases does it better.

I have information on 3 or 4 posted at

http://www.EVDOinfo.com

just click on products and you can see them. Of course, just because a card is available, you might not be able to get it. For example, only the PC 5220 and Novatel V620 are available from Verizon.
