The devices are paired by bluetooth, that works (can check files on each device from the other). On Dialup the bluetooth connection is made but no number is dialed. When I dialup via BT from my PC the phone works fine. Walked through al the settings with the telco helpdesk and it should work because the operator has the same combination at her side and IT WORKS!. Even tried a hard reset but to no avail.

Has anybody any ideas that might help? I think the bluetooth stack on the 4150 is somehow rotten.

Thanks,

Rob

Perhaps you should at Z; to the init string used on your Connection configuration. This is a reset. Also, add the CGDCONT string with the proper APN name. For example,

Z;+CGDCONT=1,,"internet"

Where "internet" (with the quotes!) should be replaced by the proper APN name your operator use.

Also, check the number you're using to dial. On your Pocket PC try *99# for the default CID. If your mobile is configured to have more than one CID then you should try *99***x# where x is the CID configuration number.

Thanks for the tip, Mauricio

Tried that too.. to no avail.
The phone does not show the "Making a connection" message that it shows when I make a BT connection from my PC.
Used the log on the PC and there are some extra AT commands :
ATS0=0
ATE0V1&D2
and the dialing is done by ATDT*###
Tried to insert these AT commands into the extra dialstring on the 4150 but alas..

Do you have a pointer to all the modem commands? I remember some from them time I set up my 1200 Baud modem some years ago :-) but I'm not current on the command set right now.

Any other suggestion would also be welcome

Thanks,

Rob

The ATDT is automatically inserted by your h4150, so you don't need it. When entering the commands on your Pocket PC do not enter AT, this is also automatic. Also, finish each command with a ;. For example:

Z;S0=0;E0V1&D2;

Also, what number are you using on your PC? Use the same number on your Pocket PC, and check its configuration by following this guide.

I found the guide before, and followed every step (although some screens are different, I have a newer ROM version)

Tried the dialstring but no again. The dailed numbers are the same.
The message stays the same, cannot connect for unknown reasons.

The phone just does not dial. I'm at a loss here.
I can't even get it to dial my home phone from the IPAQ

Thanks,
Rob

Changed my phone and it proved to be topical to the one instance of the Z1010, now works fine
